AIA Seattle Diversity Roundtable Seeks Nominations for Chair and Co-Chair
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS AND LETTERS OF INTEREST
Your AIA Seattle Diversity Roundtable committee continues to grow, evolve, and look for ways to serve and advance our diverse community of architectural design professionals.
Our annual appointment of Chair and Co-Chair will take place in September. We will be discussing nominations and goals at our August meeting (August 2, 4pm at AIA Seattle, 1911 First Ave.). The actual selection will take place at our September meeting (Sept 6, 4pm). Please forward any nominations to the current Chair - Doug Jennings (djenning@u.washington.edu). Self nominations are encouraged.
The Chair and Co-Chair generally organize the monthly meetings, coordinate with AIA Seattle through our AIA Seattle staff liaison, and facilitate activities of the committee along with the volunteers from the committee. The chair works with a lot of great committee members on a lot of valuable efforts.

The AIA Seattle Diversity Roundtable attracts, retains and empowers individuals of underrepresented backgrounds in the profession of architecture through scholarship, community service and activism. We embrace and celebrate diversity in all its facets and strive to provide opportunities for an ever-greater diversity of individuals to become registered architects, take advantage of leadership opportunities and influence our practices and our professional lives.
New directions for the group are always encouraged and particularly so at the annual appointment of the Chair and Co-Chair. The Chair and Co-Chair will be instrumental in establishing the future direction of the group.
